Phantom was awesome
I first saw Phantom on Broadway in NYC with my spouse, then in the 8th grade. He's 38 now... More detail can be added, obviously, in a movie. But I digress... Spouse had never seen the production, so I was excited when I found that it was coming to Devos. We have watched the movie version and it helped tie in some of the scenes from the Broadway production.
Though we were high up in the Mezzanine and forgot our binoculars for better view of the performers, as expected, we had an awesome time. The sound system in DeVos is spectacular. Loved how Unknown Mortal Orchestra's voice floated all about the Hall, like he was everywhere at once. What impressed me the most, was the seamless transition between scenes. The props were very, very well done. Technology has certainly progressed since the 1990's!! I especially liked the way the steps to the Unknown Mortal Orchestra's lair appeared and disappeared out of the high walled prop that served so many purposes.
